Hero Class

With BlizzCon 2016 sadly in the rear-view mirror, it’s time to take a look back at everything we were able to learn about the future of Diablo III to get a sense of where we’re headed. Key to that future is the reveal of the Necromancer as the next playable class for Diablo III. The Rise of the Necromancer character pack will be arriving some time in the second half of 2017, so we’ve got a bit of a wait before balance is restored to Sanctuary. In the meantime, I’m sure we’ll be receiving updates on new skills and items for the class as they’re developed and we may just be able to have a hand in shaping that development to make sure the best Necromancer experience is delivered on opening day. In order to do my part and help, I want to discuss my feelings on the Necromancer after I’ve now

A Diablo Developer Talk and Q&A was on the panel stage at Blizzcon. It consisted of several developers, including : Kevin Martens – Lead Game Designer Wyatt Cheng – Senior Game Designer Adam Phul – Senior Game Designer Joe Shely – Senior Game Designer Travis Day – Senior Game Designer The Developer Talk wasted no time in getting down to business, starting with details about the seasons coming to console. While Seasons will work like how seasons work on PC, there will be some key differences. Some features like Haedrig’s gifts and season journeys will be almost verbatim out of how PC seasons are designed. Certain rewards will appear at different times then they would for PC users, while the leaderboards will be console specific to the Xbox One and the PS4. Hacked items was briefly discussed in a question asked by the community later, to which Blizzard said they are working on

All About the Necromancer

by Magistrate on

The newly revealed Necromancer class has a lot going for it: ghastly minions, gory spells, and a killer (huehue) design. Players can look forward to slaughtering foes of Sanctuary with him (or her!) in the second half of 2017 with the “Rise of the Necromancer” pack. Today, we break down the reveals from the Diablo panel to see what the Necromancer is really about. Design As one of the Diablo franchise’s most memorable classes, the Necromancer went under an exceptional amount of brainstorming before its current iteration was born. Dubbed the “darkest” class in the game, this commander of the dead was designed to be as cool as he is deadly. Armor variants touch on the Necromancer’s ability themes: blood, bone, and reanimation. A priest of Rathma (in itself a whole other topic), Blizzard looked at him from several angles: king of the dead, crypt keeper, bone saint, even a sort of “rockstar of

Angels and demons are bound to their natures. Demons are given to chaos and deceit; angels to truth and order. That much is known …The Nephalem alone have choice. ~Archangel Itherael. Welcome to Wishful Wednesdays where we will attempt to show some ideas from fellow Nephalem who want to see something added to the game: whether that be builds that need items to make them work, a new or revamped mode of game-play that they would enjoy, holiday buffs or just QoL improvements. Patch 2.4 is, arguably, one of the biggest updates to date for Diablo 3, and has brought many great changes to the game with both major quality of life changes and more diverse and fun to play builds. One of the things introduced that a lot of players were excited about was the set dungeons which seemed to fall short of expectations. None of them are impossible, in
