With only a few days to go before we finally 86 2016, it only makes sense to start looking back at all of the great…and not-so-great things that comprised this year. Whether you achieved your highest Greater Rift during one of the many seasons, enjoyed the hype of BlizzCon 2016, or would rather look forward to a brighter year of less deaths, there’s probably something on your mind when it comes to Diablo III.

Well, Blizzard Entertainment is right there with you and in a fun infographic that was delivered via email, we have the official tally on just exactly how many Hardcore characters have died so far this year – 601,875 to be precise. I know that I personally have contributed a handful to this figure (at least four that I can tell from my profile). How about you? Are you surprised at the number? Does this instantly want to make you play Hardcore now?
