December 16 Hotfixes for Patch 2.4.3 PTR

With the announcement of Season 9’s start date revealing that we’ll be popping into Patch 2.4.3 near the beginning of next year, it’s clear that the PTR (Patch Test Realm) for the patch is close to being over and done. However, changes to items and sets are still coming in. There are a few new hotfixes that make adjustments to some numbers as well as Greater Rift mechanics. Check out the details below.

The following hotfixes are now live:

Barbarian

  • Whirlwind
    • Dust Devils
      • Damage has been increased from 120% to 180% (12/16)
        • Please note that this change will not be reflected in the tooltip

Witch Doctor

  • Spirit Barrage
    • Phantasm
      • Fixed an unintended interaction where Phantasm would benefit from additional bonus damage when prematurely detonated and modified by both the Barber and Gazing Demise (12/16)

Items

  • Wrath of the Wastes
    • 6-Piece Bonus
      • Increased damage bonus to Whirlwind from 400% to 800% (12/16)
        • Please note that this change will not be reflected in the tooltip

Monsters

  • Rare monsters with the Juggernaut affix now take 30% more damage from all sources (12/16)
  • The Succubus’ Bloodstar attack has had its damage reduced by 15% and the projectile’s travel distance has been reduced (12/16)
  • The damage from Khazra spears has been reduced by 15% (12/16)
  • The damage from Ice Porcupine icicles has been reduced by 15% (12/16)

Greater Rifts

  • Greater Rifts now spawn Hellhide Tremors, Disentombed Hulks, Sand Dwellers, and Colossol Golgors with other monsters in somewhat larger groups (12/16)
  • Greater Rifts now spawn somewhat fewer Sand Wasps and Fallen Grunts on floors where they appear (12/16)
