The Horadrim Corner: HotA Group Barbarian

by - 9 years ago

Stay awhile, and listen. Come gather by the fire and talk about the builds you all want to see! Let the ancient knowledge of the Horadrim assist your quest for greatness as you slaughter the demons that stand in your way. For all that is good, build yourself into a warrior worthy of Pandemonium!

Allo Allo! And of course, welcome to another edition of the Horadrim Corner, where we shall this week feature that muscle-bound maniac, the Barbarian. With Patch 2.3 changing the IK set for the Barbs, more builds opened up with the Hammer of the Ancients being the most popular. Thanks to some new items this build is one of the most effective out there. Without further ado, here we go:

Hota Barb skillz

Actives

Hammer of the Ancients – Smash: Combined with the Gavel of Judgment, this will serve as your main damage dealer along with being the proc for Focus and Restraint.
Call of the Ancients – Together as One: Giving you the same effect as the Unity combo is just too good to pass up.
Battle Rage – Bloodshed: MORE DAMAGE!
War Cry – Veteran’s Warning: MORE DEFENSE!
Furious Charge – Merciless Assault: Everybody need’s something to quickly move from enemy to enemy, and this is a great skill to do that.
Wrath of the Berserker – Insanity: With the Unity effect from Call of the Ancients, this is just a big damage boost along with making you immune to crowd control.

Passives

Rampage: At full charges this gives a 25% damage increase, a huge bonus.
Ruthless: Kick em while their down, make the end of those high health monsters disappear.
Berserker Rage: In case you didn’t know yet, more damage is always quite nice.
Weapons MasterKeeping your Fury up helps you not need a generator for this build, along with keeping you topped up for Berserker Rage.

Stats Preferences

Strength>Critical Hit/Chance>All Resist>Life%/Vitality

Fairly standard for high DPS builds, nothing here should be much of a surprise.
