Transmog Tuesday #7

by - 9 years ago

It’s another round of Transmog Tuesday, where we take a look at the best looking Nephalem submitted by YOU, showcase them for the world to see, and figure out what makes them tick. If you’re going to slay demons, shouldn’t you look good doing it?

It’s clear that Diablo has its own sense of artistic style. In an extremely unbiased opinion (that’s sarcasm), I believe that the Diablo franchise has some of the most unique-looking and distinguishable art out of the Blizzard games. What happens, however, when Diablo is combined with another video game franchise art style? Blizzpro reader, TheHyperFusion, has decided to tackle this feat. With Final Fantasy having such a discernible art style as well, TheHyperFusion has taken the famous Dragoon armor from the game and made it his own within Diablo. Using the Crusader, TheHyperFusion has done an incredible job of carefully selecting pieces to resemble the Dragoon style from the Final Fantasy world. This is our second feature of the Crusader class, preceded by Three Days’ Angelic Crusader in our first round of Transmog Tuesday. Thanks for the submission, TheHyperFusion!

Helm – Great Helm – Royal Dye
Shoulders – Epaulets – Royal Dye
Torso – Boneweave Hauberk – Royal Dye
Legs – Boneweave Faulds – Royal Dye
Feet – Battle Greaves – Royal Dye
Main-hand – Vigilance
Off-hand – Stormshield
To me, it’s interesting that the look of the armor also varies between Final Fantasy games. Here is one example of the armor in the Final Fantasy world:

Do you have a transmog set that you are particularly proud of to show off to the world? Does your Crusader look like an angelic soldier sent by Akkhan himself? Is your Wizard so beautiful that she slays demons with her looks alone? If so, send the following to LtLunatic@blizzpro.com:

  • A high quality picture of your character at the main menu or the in-game menu;
  • A list of each item used for the transmog set along with the color of dye of each piece (see format above);
  • A brief description of your theme; and
  • Your name (We want to give you the credit!)

That’s it! We will choose our favorite submissions and feature them in future Transmog Tuesday posts. Time to let those creative juices flow!
