Things To Do Before Season 2 Ends

by - 9 years ago

With the recent announcement of Season 2 ending on April 5th, many Nephalem are winding down their current seasonal play in order to gear up for Season 3 and the new patch. With such a short season, it leaves players with a smaller window of opportunity to complete their goals. On the other hand, those who have been playing Season 2 regularly may be at the tail end of achieving their goals. What were your goals this season? Was there a specific Greater Rift level that you wanted to finish? A full set that you wanted to loot? With less than two weeks before Season 2 ends, there is still much that can be accomplished. To give you some extra ideas on what to do for the remainder of the season, here are a few things our Diablo team here at BlizzPro will be focused.

Experience and Gold Find Buff

Happy birthday, Reaper of Souls! To celebrate its one year birthday, Blizzard announced a 100% XP and gold find buff between Monday, March 23 and Monday, March 30. While many players may not have any gold shortages and already have their main characters up to 70, these buffs can still be beneficial. For example, one could use this experience buff to level up another character or work on their Paragon points. You can use the extra gold to re-roll your items with the Mystic and strive for near perfect stats.

Plan Ahead For Next Season

Are you planning on hitting any of the leaderboards next season? If you are trying a new class, now might be a good time to familiarize yourself with its playstyle. Use the experience buff to level the new class up to 70 in the current season and learn the ins and outs of what they can potentially do. Now could also be a good time to try out a new build on the PTR for when 2.2 comes around. For example, check out Stephen’s Rock and Roll Barbarian that he worked out on the PTR.

Conquests

As of this writing, there are still MANY spots left to be filled on the Conquest leaderboards. For example, the lore achievements, Language and Deadly Language for Softcore and Hardcore respectively, each have less than 400 players who have completed them. If you prefer more action, killing all the bosses in 20 minutes puts you in the top 100 if you play Hardcore and top 300 if you play Softcore.

Story Mode has relevance!

Other Achievements

As usual, the Seasonal achievements are available for the taking. Start a contest with a group of friends to see who can earn the most achievements this season. You could also see which achievements you still need to complete for your Career total and kill two birds with one stone.

Greater Rift Leaderboards

Greater Rift leaderboards are oftentimes many players’ main focus during each season. To make it more interesting, take a look at one of the leaderboards you may not normally focus on. Put together a four-player “Dream Team” with your friends to see how well you can do. There are currently many interesting group compositions that are competitive and viable. Gear up your characters for optimal group play. For example, a Witch Doctor could use a zDPS build to add some support to the group. Switch it up and try some different playstyles.

Although the current season draws to a close, there is still so much that can be accomplished. From leaderboards to temporary buffs, there is something new for everyone to try.
