The Diablo Team has officially given a time frame for when to expect Patch 2.1.0 to go live. This news came during an interview with Production Director John Hight, he mentioned that they plan to release Patch 2.1 later this month.

Patch 2.1 is in public test realm right now, later this month we’ll be releasing that.

This comes as little bit of a surprise to me since I thought that 2.1.0 wouldn’t be coming until early September. But it seems that Blizzard is really trying to get this content out of the door and in to the hands of the players. This is also coming in light of the recently announced console patch support for the Ultimate Evil Edition on the PS4 and Xbox One.  Which was confirmed to eventually get the same content from 2.1.0 shortly after the launch of the patch.

And fairly close after that, we are going to be releasing a lot of that patch 2.1 content on the PS4 and the Xbox One.
