Playstation Diablo III Multiplayer Demo and Q&A at E3

All good things come in threes. So we have the Diablo 3 Playstation 3 version at E3 and they gave us a pretty cool demo of how multiplayer is going to work for consoles.

I don’t care what your thoughts are on the Diablo 3 PC version, I think the console version looks like serious fun. I remember the days of Nintendo 64 and playing the heck out of Gauntlet Legends with my friends for hours on end on the couch and this looks like it’s going to recreate the same kind of feeling. Not many Action RPGs have been able to pull this off for consoles but I think we definitely have a winner here and I’m willing to bet this will be one of the best games Blizzard will have ever released for consoles.

Preorder: Diablo III for Playstation 3 on Amazon – Release date Sept. 3, 2013

With that said, I am really hoping that Blizzard decides at some point to make the PC version compatible with a controller. Speaking of the PC version, if you’re one of those people that played through the first month after Diablo 3’s release and gave it up in frustration, you might want to seriously give the game another spin. I recently picked it back up again (World of Warcraft had been keeping me busy) and I’ve been loving playing it. So many things have changed since release and for the better. Now does that mean it’s a perfect game yet? Nope. They still need to work on itemization, more end game stuff, and bringing in that PVP they originally promised. All of those things will come though with itemization said to be fixed in the next expansion that hasn’t been announced yet. Either way, for the naysayers out there, I challenge you between now and next weekend to give the game another spin. You’ve already paid for it, so why not? You just might surprise yourself.
